Bold Stripes, Bright Stars, Brave Hearts

Hey Ya’ll. It’s been a while since I posted-honestly, I didn’t feel like it. But I’ve had a few people ask me why I haven’t posted and I really didn’t have a great answer, so, here I am. 🙂

((So I’ve lived in this apartment for over a year and I’m JUST now really decorating. So bear with my bare walls))

I want to share with you all my “wrapping pillow” and this new dress that I found. I’ve been all about stripes lately, I’m not sure why.  and noticed today that I wore nothing but stripes and when and bought striped fabric. So, about my pillows. ((See picture below)) I went to JoAnn Fabric and bought 6 yards of grey/white striped fabric. The pillows that I wrapped are approximately 24″. ((For size reference)) I’m not a sewer ((my is that how you spell it??)), so all I did was cut the fabric-there’s no real math to it. If you want to get pro with it and measure it out, go for it. So I put the pillow in the middle of the fabric, cut the sides so there was enough to tie together, and that’s it. In the picture ,illow on the right, I tucked the ends in so give it a cleaner look, and the left pillow I left how is. I like the shabby chic look to it so it doesn’t have to be perfect. It’s imperfectly perfect. ((There’s a huge cliché for ya)) AND THAT’S IT. It cost me about $40 in fabric to wrap these pillows ((With smaller pillows it wont cost as much)). And I honestly could of even gotten away with spending like $20 because I got WAY too much fabric ((Hence why the rest of the fabric is on the back of the loveseat. LOL)) WAY cheaper then Pottery Barn! They’re money suckers.

For those with kids/babies, it might be better to secure the fabric with a hot glue gun-but the cool thing about these pillows is if they get destroyed, all you have to do is re-tie them! ((The floral wrapped pillow is an 18 x 18″ pillow and I only used 1 yard of fabric))

My star pillow and arrow pillow are both from I paid $5 each. ((Granted they came from China so it took a couple weeks to come in, but hey, $5 bucks)) My blanket ladder, Kolby made for me out of reclaimed wood. And my star blanket came from too and was $15! My new coffee table ((That I love)) came from Rooms To Go and was only $299! ((P.S. they offer interest free for a year))

Okay, so the adorable striped dress that I found, is pictured below. It’s from Mindy Mae’s Market and you can find my personal affiliate link HERE. And guys, IT HAS A BOW. Double win!  Check out their clothes! Love everything they have. And their double hoods?? Ugh. Goodbye, money.

Also, I’ve gotten some questions about my nail color. It’s kind of hard to see in this pic, but it’s gel-OPI Funny Bunny. 3 coats of paint. My go-to summer color.
